7. Repeat steps 3 t
hrough 5 for the SDI B input.
8. When the calibration process is complete, press and hold the STATUS button
and select Exi
t to exit calibration.
Reference Clock Amplitude
and Frequency (Option
EYE and PHY)
This test uses an oscilloscope to verify the reference clock output.
1. Set the waveform monitor to the factory presets. (See page 60, Restore the
Factory Presets.)
2. Connect an SD or HD signal, as appropriate to the instrument under test, to
the waveform monitor SDI A input.
3. Verify that the display shows the signal.
4. Connect one of the CLOCK OUT BNCs to the test oscilloscope, using a
75 cable. The test oscilloscope must have a 75 input.
5. Check that the amplitude of the CLOCK OUT signal is between 0.8 V
p-p
and 1.2 V
p-p
.
6. Record Pass or Fail for the Clock Amplitude functional test on the test record.
7. Check that the frequency of the CLOCK OUT signal is 27 MHz ±5% (when
using a 1080i 60 SD signal); 74.25 MHz ±5% (when using a 1080i 60 HD
signal) or 74.17582 MHz ±5% (when using a 1080i 59.94 HD signal).
8. Record Pass or Fail for the Clock Frequency functional test on the test record.
Reference Clock Amplitude
and Frequency (Option 3G)
Thi
stestusesanoscilloscopetoverify the reference clock output.
1. Set the waveform monitor to the factory presets. (See page 60, Restore the
Fa
ctory Presets.)
2. Connect a 3Gb/s signal to the waveform monitor SDI A input. (See page 78,
3G
b/s SDI Verication Test (Option 3G).)
7. Check that the frequency of the CLOCK OUT signal is 148.5 MHz ±5%
(when using a 1080p 60 signal) or 148.35165 MHz ±5% (when using a 1080p
59.94 signal).
8. Record Pass or Fail for the Clock Frequency functional test on the test record.
