LOCKED TO THE FLOOR RAILS. IF THE SEAT IS NOT LOCKED IT CAN MOVE SUDDENLY IF
A FORCE IS APPLIED. IF THE SEAT MOVES SUDDENLY, IT CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY.

IF, DURING FLIGHT, YOU NEED TO MAKE SEAT ADJUSTMENTS AND CANNOT REACH THE
NECESSARY CONTROLS WITH THE INERTIA REEL RETRACTED AND LOCKED, YOU
SHOULD NOT RELEASE THE INERTIA RESTRAINT LOCK UNLESS IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.
RELEASING THE INERTIA RESTRAINT LOCK WHEN IT IS NOT SAFE TO DO SO CAN KILL OR
CAUSE INJURY
2. Operation
A. Fore/aft adjustment
Adjust the fore and aft position of the seat as follows:
(1) Lift and hold the fore/aft lever.
(2) Move the seat to the required position.
(3) Release the fore/aft lever and continue adjusting the position of the seat until the locking mechanism
engages the nearest locked position.
B. Harness lock/unlock lever (rear LH side of bucket assembly)
(1) Move the harness lock/unlock lever to the up (UNLOCK) position.
NOTE
If the harness twists while retracting into the reel, refer to “TESTING AND FAULT ISOLATION”
on page 101.
(2) Make sure the harness moves freely in and out.
(3) Move the harness lock/unlock lever to the down (LOCK) position to lock the harness and prevent
further outward movement. The harness will ratchet in with the harness lock/unlock lever in the down

Recline the backrest assembly as follows:
CAUTION
YOU MUST SIT IN THE BUCKET ASSEMBLY WHEN YOU OPERATE THE RECLINE
MECHANISM. THE RECLINE MECHANISM HAS TWO GAS SPRINGS AND CAN MOVE
SUDDENLY. DAMAGE TO THE SEAT CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT SIT IN THE
