(7) Bring the left hand shoulder strap down over the left shoulder and engage the lug (RED) into the left
hand upper lock of the QRB. Make sure the lug is secure.
(8) Bring the right hand shoulder strap down over the right shoulder and engage the lug (GREEN) into
the right hand upper lock of the QRB. Make sure the lug is secure.
(9) Sit well back in the seat and adjust the left hand and right hand lap straps. Make sure the QRB
remains central to the body and at waist level.
(10) Move the harness lock/unlock lever to the down (LOCK) position.
4. Taxi, Take Off and Landing/Emergency Procedures (TTOL/EP) position
WARNING YOU MUST PUT ON THE 5-POINT HARNESS FOR TAXI, TAKE OFF, LANDING AND IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU DO NOT PUT ON THE 5-POINT HARNESS YOU WILL NOT BE HELD
IN THE SEAT. IF YOU ARE NOT HELD IN THE SEAT, IT CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED MOVING THE SEAT TO A NEW POSITION, MAKE SURE IT IS
LOCKED TO THE FLOOR RAILS. IF THE SEAT IS NOT LOCKED IT CAN MOVE SUDDENLY
IF A FORCE IS APPLIED. IF THE SEAT MOVES SUDDENLY, IT CAN KILL OR CAUSE
INJURY.
A. Prepare for the TTOL/EP position as follows:
(1) Seat locked facing forward, backrest assembly locked in upright position, armrests stowed, bucket
assembly locked in the lowest position.
(2) Do the strapping-in procedure, refer to para 3.
5. Normal egress procedure
Vacate the seat as follows:
(1) Turn the outer cover of the Quick Release Fitting (QRB) in either direction to release the shoulder
straps, lap strap and negative g strap lugs.
(2) Vacate the seat.
