Wire
Identification
and
Numbering.
(1)
In
each
electrical
and
electronic
wiring
circuit,
the
wires
are
identified
by
a
number-letter
code.
The code
is
either
printed,
stenciled
or
banded
on
each
wire
segment.
A
wire
segment
is
a
run
of
wire
between
two
points
in
a
circuit.
The
number-letter
code
explains
where
the
wire
is
used.
Refer
to Figure
2
for
the
wire
identification
system.
