Groundsmastermodelsthatarepoweredbyadieselenginethatcomplies
withEPATier4emissionregulationsareequippedwithanexhaustsystem
thatincludesadieseloxidationcatalyst(DOC)andadieselparticulatelter
(DPF).Theseexhaustcomponentsrequireserviceorcomponentreplacement
atintervalsidentiedinyourOperator’sManual.Additionally,theexhaust
assemblyusestwo(2)temperaturesensorsandapressuredifferentialsensor
whichareusedasinputsfortheengineECUtomonitortheoperationofthe
exhaustsystem.
Thedieselparticulatelter(DPF)iscleanedperiodicallythrougharegenerative
processthatiscontrolledbytheengineECU(seeEngine(Models30885and
30887)(page2–4)).TheInfoCenterdisplaywillidentifythestatusofDPF
regeneration.Atrecommendedintervals,DPFreconditioningisnecessarywhich
willrequireexhaustsystemdisassembly,DPFremovalandDPFreconditioning
byacompanythathasthenecessaryequipment.OncetheDPFhasgone
throughthereconditioningprocess,itcanbere−installedintheexhaustsystem.

Thedieseloxidationcatalyst(DOC)hasaservicelifeexpectancyandrequires
replacementatrecommendedintervals.ReplacementoftheDOCwillrequire
exhaustsystemdisassembly,removaloftheexistingDOCandinstallationofthe
