2.Removeexhaustsystemcomponentsfromtheengineasnecessaryusing
Figure24andFigure25asguides.Discardallremovedgaskets(items1
and15inFigure24oritem6inFigure25).
Installation
Note:Makesurethatallexhaustsystemangesandsealingsurfacesarefree
ofdebrisordamagethatmaypreventatightseal.
1.Makesuretoinstallnewgasketsinplaceofallgasketsthatwereremoved.
Donotuseanytypeofgasketsealantongasketorangesurfaces.
2.AssembleallremovedexhaustsystemcomponentsusingFigure24and
Figure25asguides.
A.Ifexhaustsensors(items7and8inFigure24)wereremoved,torque
sensorsfrom25to40N·m(19to29ft−lb).
B.Ifexhaustpressurepipes(items26and28inFigure24)wereremoved,
replacesensorgaskets(item27)onbothsidesofthepressurepipetting.
C.IfDPFstiffeners(items18,19,20and21inFigure24)wereloosened
orremoved,tightenfastenersthatsecurestiffenersbeforetightening
fastenersthatsecureexhaustsystemtoDPFstays.
