9.Ifsteeringreliefpressureisincorrect,inspectsteeringreliefvalvelocatedin
thesteeringcontrolvalve(seeSteeringControlValveService(page5–141)).
Ifreliefvalveisoperatingproperlyandiflift/lowerandtractionchargecircuit
problemsalsoexist,thethirdgearpumpsectionshouldbesuspectedof
wearordamage.Ifsteeringwheelcontinuestoturnatendofcylindertravel
(withlowerthannormaleffort),steeringcylinderorsteeringcontrolvalve
maybewornordamaged.
10.Whentestingiscomplete,turnsteeringwheeltoboththerightandtheleft
withtheenginenotrunningtorelievesteeringcircuitpressure.Remove
pressuregaugefromhydraulichoseandsteelcapfromsteeringcylinder
tting.Connecthydraulichosetosteeringcylindertting.
