Thesteeringcircuitreliefpressuretestshouldbeperformedtomakesurethat
thesteeringcircuitreliefpressureiscorrect.
CAUTION
Preventpersonalinjuryand/ordamagetoequipment.Readall
WARNINGS,CAUTIONSandPrecautionsforHydraulicTestingatthe
beginningofthissection.
1.Makesurehydraulicoilisatnormaloperatingtemperaturebyoperating
themachineforapproximatelyten(10)minutes.Makesurethehydraulic
reservoirisfull.
2.Parkmachineonalevelsurfacewiththecuttingdecksloweredandoff.Make
sureengineisoffandtheparkingbrakeisengaged.

3.Thoroughlycleanjunctionofhydraulichoseandsteeringcylinderttingat
thebarrelendofthesteeringcylinder(Figure83).Disconnecthosefrom
ttinginbarrelendofsteeringcylinder.
4.Install350bar(5000PSI)pressuregaugewithhydraulichoseattachedto
disconnectedhose.Installsteelcaponsteeringcylinderttingtoprevent
anyleakagefromcylinder.
5.Afterinstallingpressuregauge,startengineandrunatlowidlespeed.Check
forhydraulicleakageandcorrectbeforeproceedingwithtest.
6.Increaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed.
IMPORTANT
Whiletesting,rotatesteeringwheelonlylongenoughtogetasystem
reliefpressurereading.Holdingthesteeringcircuitatreliefpressure
foranextendedperiodmaydamagethesteeringcontrolvalve.
7.Turnsteeringwheeltotherightwhilemonitoringthepressuregauge.When
steeringcircuitpressurereachesthereliefpressuresetting,pressureshould
