isneartheinputshaftofthegearpump(Figure97).Beforethegear
pumpisinstalledtothepistonpump,makesurethatplugsplacedin
eitheroftheseportsareremoved.Failuretoremoveplugswillcause
excessivepressureinthepistonpumpanddamageseals.Also,
beforesecuringgearpumptopistonpump,llpistonpumphousing
withcleanhydraulicoilthroughcasedrainhole.
5.Removecapsandplugsfromhydrauliclinesandttings.Installhydraulic
linestogearpump(seeInstallingHydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFace
Seal)(page5–7)).
6.Replacehydraulicoillterandllhydraulicreservoirwithnewhydraulicoil.
