thegasketandanyremaininggasketmaterialfromeithermatingsurface

6.Whileholdingthebevelgearcase,taptheupperendofthebevelgearshaft
outoftheupperbearingandupperbevelgear.
7.Pullthebevelgearcasefromtheaxlecaseandremovetheupperbevel
gearandcollarfromthegearcase.
8.Removetheaxlecasecoverscrews,coverandtheO-ringfromtheaxlecase.
9.Removetheplugandsealingwasherfromthecenteroftheaxlecasecover.
Whileholdingtheaxlecasecover,lightlytapthelowerendofthebevelgear
shaftoutofthelowerbearingandlowerbevelgear.
10.Removeanddiscardbevelgearshaftsealfromaxlecase(Figure248).
