TestProcedure
1.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
2.Determinewhichofthereelmotorissuspectandbegintestingwiththat
motor.
3.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththereelengageswitchoff,lowerthe
cuttingunits,shutofftheengine,mowspeedlimiterisintheMOWposition,
andsettheparkingbrake.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page6–8).
4.ReadallWarning,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
section.
Note:Thecuttingreelmotorsareconnectedinseries.Ifadamagedreel
motorisnotobvious(basedonqualityofcutissues)youmayhavetotest
allmotorsinthecircuit.Iftestingallcuttingreelmotors,startwiththerst
motorintheseries(frontleft).

frameofcuttingunitbeingtestedtopreventreelfromturning(Figure126).
