1.Plugmotorportsandcleantheoutsideofthemotor.Aftercleaning,remove
plugsanddrainanyuidoutofthemotor.
2.Useamarkertomakeadiagonallineacrossthefrontange,bodyandrear
coverforassemblypurposes(Figure178).
IMPORTANT
Avoidusingexcessiveclampingpressureonthemotorangeto
preventdamage.
3.Clampfrontangeofmotorinavisewiththeshaftenddown.Useofavise
withsoftjawsisrecommended.
4.Loosenboltsthatsecurerearcover.
5.Removemotorfromviseandremovebolts.
6.Removefrontangefromthebody,thenremoverearcover.Locateand
removedowelpinsfrombody.
IMPORTANT
Marktherelativepositionsofthegearteethandthebearingblocks
sotheycanbereassembledinthesameposition.Donottouchthe
gearsurfacesasresidueonhandsmaybecorrosivetogearnish.
