4.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulicconnections.Cleanthe
hydraulicconnectionsbeforelooseningthehydrauliclinesfromthelift
cylinder.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page6–8).
WARNING
Ensurethatthecuttingunitsarefullyloweredbeforelooseningthe
hydrauliclinesfromtheliftcylinders.
Ifthecuttingunitsarenotfullyloweredasthehydrauliclinesare
loosened,thecuttingunitsmaydropunexpectedly.
5.Disconnectthehydraulichosesfromthettingsintheliftcylinderthatistobe
removed.Allowthehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Removeand
discardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
6.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
contamination.
7.Remove1retainingring(item4inFigure182)andthrustwasherfromthe
cylinderslidepin.Pullthepinfromtheliftcylinderandliftarm.Locateand
retrievethesecondthrustwasher.
8.Removetheange-headscrew(item15inFigure182)andatwasherthat
securetheliftcylindertothecylinderpin.
9.Removetheliftcylinderfromthecylinderpinandframe.
10.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromtheliftcylinder,markthetting
orientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromtheliftcylinder
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheLiftCylinder
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromtheliftcylinder,lubricatenew
O-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintotheliftcylinderports;refertoInstallingtheHydraulic
Fittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page
6–13).Ensurethatthettingsareorientatedcorrectly.
2.Positiontheliftcylindertotheframe.
