A.Usethebushingremovaltooltoextractboththebushingsfromthelift
armorpivotyoke.
B.Cleantheinsideoftheboretoremoveanydirtorunwantedmaterial.
C.Applygreasetotheinnerandoutersurfacesofthenewbushings.
D.Useanarborpresstoinstallthebushingsintotheliftarmorpivotyoke.
Theliftarmbushingsshouldbepresseduntilthebushingangeis
againsttheliftarmbore.Theupperpivotyokebushingshouldbepressed
fullytotheshoulderinthepivotyokebore.Thelowerpivotyokebushing
shouldbeushwiththeyoketube.
InstallingtheRearLiftArms
1.Positiontherearliftarmtotheframeandslidethepivotshaftthrough
framebossesandliftarm.Securetheshaftangetotheframewiththe
washer-headscrew.
2.Installthetorsionspringsandcomponentsthatsecurethespringstothe
machine(Figure316orFigure318).Positionthelonglegofspringforward
andpointingoutfromtopofthespring.Onthemachinesthatincludea
housingtosecurethetorsionsprings(showninFigure316),theshortlegof
thetorsionspringsshouldbeagainstthestoponthehousing.
3.Aligntheliftcylinderrodendtotheliftarmmountingslot.Slidethecylinder
pin(item4inFigure317)withtheretainingringandthrustwasherthrough
theliftcylinderandliftarm.Installthesecondthrustwasheronthepinand
securewiththesecondretainingring.
CAUTION
Becarefulwhenapplyingtensiontothetorsionspringontherearlift
arms.Thespringisunderheavyloadandmaycausepersonalinjury.
4.Applytensiontothetorsionsprings:
A.Insertanutdriverorsmallpieceofpipeontothelonglegofthetorsion
springontherearoftheliftarmpivotpin.
B.Pushdownandforwardonthespringendtohookthespringtothe
shoulderstudontheliftarm.Ensurethatthespringendispositionedon
studasnotedduringdisassembly.
5.Mountthecuttingunittotheliftarm.
6.Lubricatethegreasettingsontheliftarm,pivotyoke,andliftcylinder.
