cover/enclosure
No captive retaining elements are fitted on these covers as the risk potential
is classified as low. Usually, all parts remain in place for repairs at the instal-
lation location or in workshops.
Guards that need to be opened/removed by the operating company for main-
tenance purposes generally comprise the following covers:
Covers on drive assemblies (e.g. protective covers/hoods for chain and
toothed belt drives)
Covers on nip points if they have to be removed or opened for mainte-
nance purposes (e.g. protective covers for snub rollers)
Bearing covers, covers on rotating parts (e.g. covers on drum bearings)
Bottom conveyor track covers (e.g. perforated plates of the curves)

Precondition:
Machine has been taken out of operation.
Machine has been secured against being switched on again.

The bottom conveyor track cover can tip over and crush parts of the body.
Secure the bottom conveyor track cover from falling.
Carry out the following work steps:
1. Loosen and move the joining elements (1) on both sides.
The joining elements (1) remain in the cover (2).
