12.2 Checking the Safety Valve
The safety valve is located on the rear side of the autoclave
In order to prevent the safety valve from a blockage, operate it once a
month.
12.2.1 PED-approved type safety valve
Operate the sterilization cycle according to the manual.
Allow a pressure of approximately 200 kPa (29 psi) to build up
in the chamber.
Turn the safety valve pressure-regulating nut clockwise for 2
seconds. Be careful not to burn your hands.
Return the nut to its original position.
Press the
STOP/STOP key to interrupt the operation, and
exhaust steam from chamber.
Wait until the pressure decreases to zero, only then can the door
be opened.
Attention:
Use protective gloves in order not to burn your hands with the
hot steam.
