supplied by the manufacturer to avoid injury or damage. Be aware of the operation and safety instructions
before you attach, remove, or operate the equipment.
B - Three-point hitch and tow hook
Always stay clear of the implement operating area. In particular, DO NOT stand between the machine and
the towed vehicle or between the three-point hitch when operating the lift controls. Make sure no
bystanders are within or near these operating areas.
C - Position mounted tools before moving away from the machine
To avoid injury, lower all components, equipment or tools to the ground before leaving the cab.
D - Power Take-O (PTO) Speed
Always use the recommended PTO speed for the tool. Consult the tool's operator manual for the correct
speed.
• Match the PTO spline and speed with the PTO drive shaft provided with a tool. This will assure proper
geometry and operating speed.
• Never operate tools from 540 RPM to 1000 RPM.
• Never operate tools from 1000 RPM to 540 RPM.
E - Power Take-O (PTO) guards
Avoid tangling with the PTO. The Power Take-O (PTO) guard must be in place for most operations to
prevent death or injury while the PTO is operating. When attachments like pumps are attached to the PTO -
where the guard is moved upward or removed - shielding equal to the PTO guard must be installed with
the attachment.
F - Hydraulic coupling devices
The machine is equipped with a pressurized hydraulic system. Before disconnecting the couplers, you
must:
• Lower the connected tools.
• Switch o the engine.
• Move the control levers forward and backward to discharge pressure from the hydraulic system.
Please refer to the manual for detailed information on the position and identification of hydraulic valves and
couplers. Also read the instructions for use.
G - Lift capacity of the three-point linkage
Refer to the manual for the maximum hoisting capacity of the three-point hitch and for information on how
to laterally and/or vertically adjust the three-point hitch.
H - Determination of the total weight, the loads on the axles, the permissible loads for the tires and
the minimum required ballast
To avoid loss of control, always observe the tire pressure and maximum load capacities recommended by
the manufacture when using the machine at high speed. Consult your authorized dealer or tire supplier for
the correct pressures and load capacities of the tires fitted to your machine. For the total weight of the
machine, for the maximum load capacity on the axles and the load of the tires and for information on the
weight of the machine, please refer to the manual.
I - Ballast weights
Valtra advises you to equip your machine with suitable ballast weights as follows:
• Every time the machine requires higher traction to increase its grip to the ground.
