Appendix D: Using the Configuration File

DSP headset Specifies the gain level for the wired headset connected to the
phone.
Valid values are 1 through 11.
The default is 6.
ring Specifies the gain level for the phone’s ring.
Valid values are 1 through 11.
The default is 6.
lcd Specifies the contrast level for the phone’s LCD.
Valid values are 1 through 7.
The default is 4.
ringer_off Toggles the ringer on and off.
Valid values are 1 (on) and 0 (off).
The default is 1 (on).
VAD Sets voice activation detection (VAD).
Valid values are 1 (on) and 0 (off).
The default is 0.
ring_type Specifies the default ring type for the IP Phone. Ring type can be
a value from 1 to 4, 101 to 105, or 201 to 205:
• 1-4, ring type 1 to 4 (tone ring),
• 101-105, ring type 101 to 105 (wav file ring),
• 201-205, ring type 201 to 205 (user defined ring),
Valid values are 1 to 4, 101 to 105, and 201 to 205.
The default is 1.
ringdata Sets the user defined ring (RTTTL-format), see Appendix G
.
The valid value is a maximum of 255 characters for each ring.
The maximum number of ringdata is 5.
Default is blank.
dtmf_payload Sets the DTMF payload type for RFC2833.
Valid values are 96 through 255.
The default is 101.
dtmf_duration Sets the DTMF duration.
Valid values are 50 through 300 ms.
The default is 120.
