Appendix D: Using the Configuration File

SYSTEM phone_name Assigns a name to the phone for idle mode display.
Valid value is a string of up to 15 characters.
The default is blank.
lang Specifies the language displayed in the LCD. Support for a given
language is limited by the LCD type and the xml file.
Valid values are as follows:

0 — English
• 1 — French
• 2 — Korean
• 3 — Danish
Default is 0 (English).
lock_outgoing_call Unlocks the phone so a password is not required to place an
outgoing call.
Valid values are 0 to unlock or 1 to lock.
Default is 0 (unlock).
use_speed_number Assigns use of 2-digit Speed number dialing.
Valid values are 0 to disable or 1 to enable.
Default is 1 (enable).
web_server Enables access to the Web Manager.
Valid values are 0 to disable or 1 to enable.
Default is 1 enable.
telnet_server Enables access to the telnet server.
Valid values are 0 to disable or 1 to enable.
Default is 1 enable.
function private_hold Disables the private hold for a shared call.
Valid values are disable or enable.
Default is disable.
function barge_in Disables barge-in for a shared call.
Valid values are disable or enable.
Default is disable.
function_dnd Disables dnd function for the phone.
Valid values are disable or enable.
Default is enable.
function cdp Enables cdp on reboot to define VLAN.
Valid values are enable or disable.
Default is enable.
