9.5.2 Connecting the external alarm
The information contained in this section is primarily intended for technical staff members who are
tasked with setting up the EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator with an external alarm.
The four-pin alarm plug is labelled Alarm and is placed on the rear panel of the EmbryoScope time-
lapse incubator:
The EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator supports two types of circuits: normally closed or normally
open. The connected external alarm system should match the chosen circuit.
The colours of the connected electrical wires are different depending on which type of circuit the
clinic wants to use:
Normally closed circuit
Normally open circuit
Green and white wires
Brown and yellow wires
1 Normally closed
2 Normally closed
4 Normally open
3 Normally open
