9.5.3 Normally open and normally closed circuits
Normally closed circuits are completed when they are in their “normal” state, i.e. when the
EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator is in normal operation. When an error condition occurs or when
the time-lapse incubator is shut down (e.g. as a result of a power failure), the circuit is broken and
the alarm will be activated.
Normally open circuits are completed when they are not in their “normal” state, i.e. when an error
condition has occurred in the EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator. This means that the alarm will be
activated when an error condition occurs and the circuit is closed.
Normally closed, pins 1 and 2
