5.2 Measure Height
This operation is used to guarantee a consistent stand-off distance between the tool
and the workpiece surface, so as to avoid impact on cutting quality that is caused by
changing cutting height in actual situation.
Before measuring height, ensure the following:
• Workpiece is ready on the station.
• Z-axis has correctly returned to the machine origin.
See Confirm Machine Coordinates of Double Tools for details.
To measure height, do the following:
1. To open Height Measurement dialog box, do one of the following:
– In Operator interface, click → Height Measurement.
– In Technician interface, click Height Measurement in Manual mode.
2. Set the following parameters:
Cylinder Offset(X)
The distance between the tool and the height measurement sensor in X-axis
direction.
