Slope Operation Safety
Operate the remixing transfer vehicle at a speed suitable for the terrain. Avoid sudden stopping,
starting, turning, and operating on soft ground. Safe operating slope depends upon many factors,
including:
Machine weight distribution, including load in hopper(s) and position of conveyor
Position of wheels
•Speed
Turning
Braking Performance
Uneven, rough or slippery ground conditions
Potential for ground giving way, causing either unplanned forward, reverse, or sideways tilt
Nearness of ditches, ruts, or other obstructions and sudden changes in slope
Operator skill
These varying factors make it impractical to specify a maximum safe operating slope in this manual.
It is therefore important for the operator to be aware of these conditions and adjust operation
accordingly.
