Preparing For Storage
Refer to respective procedures for additional instructions.
•Clean machine.
•Repaint bare metal to inhibit rust.
•Repair or replace worn and/or broken parts and damaged safety signs.
•Perform all machine grease procedures. Grease all exposed hydraulic cylinder rods.
•Fill fluids.
•Inflate tires to correct pressure.
•Refer to Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual for engine storage instructions.
•Disconnect battery cables or remove batteries. Refer to
"Battery - Maintenance", page 5-9.
Perform battery maintenance procedure every 30 days.
•Close vandal cover(s) to help protect controls from exposure to precipitation.
•Store machine in dry, protected area if possible. If stored outdoors, cover with weatherproof
material.
Removing From Storage
•Remove all protective coverings.
•Open vandal cover(s).
•Perform all machine grease procedures. Remove grease from all exposed hydraulic cylinder rods.
•Drain water and sediment from fuel tank that may have built up during storage.
•Fill fluids.
•Inflate tires to correct pressure.
•Install batteries if removed, connect battery cables and perform battery maintenance
procedures. Refer to
"Battery - Maintenance", page 5-9.
•Refer to Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual instructions for restoring engine to operation.

Follow Shutdown Procedure before inspecting, fueling, cleaning,
transporting, lubricating, repairing, or servicing machine.
