Driving Machine
DRIVING MACHINE
Drive machine at a speed suitable for the terrain. Avoid sudden starts, stops, or maneuvers.
Provide appropriate lighting and marking on the machine to meet jobsite requirements and
regulations.
1. Rotate seat so operator is facing front of machine.
2. Follow
"Machine Starting Procedure", page 3-7.
3. Select a propel range (1).
4. Move discharge conveyor to a position that will not
cause a collision with any objects in the path. Carry
elevator and discharge conveyor as low as possible.
5. Increase engine speed to full throttle (2).
6. Release park brake (3).
7. Use Propel Lever (4) to move machine. Maximum
propel lever speed is determined by speed dial (5).
8. When driving machine, Propel 3-Speed Button (1)
can be up-shifted as desired.
Machine must be in neutral to down-shift.
WARNING
Runover possible. Contact with moving parts can cut or crush.
Make sure no one is working on, underneath, or close to machine before
starting engine or moving machine. Ensure area is free of personnel. Keep
spectators away.
WARNING
A rider can fall off and be crushed.
Never allow anyone to ride on the ladder or platform.
WARNING
Rollover can crush.
Be alert and use extreme caution when driving the machine on a hillside,
near ditches, gullies, holes, or obstructions where rollover could occur.
Never allow anyone to be on the downhill side of the machine.
