Jobsite Assessment
Examine the jobsite for any obstructions, conditions, or situations which may impair machine
operation or create a safety hazard for the operator or other persons, such as:
•Holes, drop-offs, banks, trenches, light or power poles, steep slopes
•Overhead obstacles
•Overhead powerlines
•Other machines, workers, or bystanders
•Dust, combustible fumes, inadequate ventilation
Use information in this manual combined with your own good judgment when identifying these
hazard avoidance measures.
WARNING
Breathing crystalline silica dust can cause lung disease. Cutting, drilling,
or working materials such as concrete, sand, or rock containing quartz can
result in exposure to silica dust.
Use dust control methods or appropriate respiratory protection when
exposed to silica dust conditions.
WARNING
Engine exhaust can asphyxiate. If inhaled directly or continuously,
combustion fumes produced by the engine can be hazardous.
If work has to be done in an enclosed environment, take all necessary
precautions to ensure the circulation of fresh air and protect the
respiratory system using a suitable mask.
