Limp Mode
LIMP MODE
Use these instructions for emergency situations only. To move vehicle if operator station propel or
steering controls become inoperable and engine can be started:
Never use limp mode to move machine farther than is required to locate the machine out of traffic
and to where repairs can be performed safely.
1. Locate two spotters, one at the front and one at the
rear of the machine, to direct the operator. Each
spotter must stand clear of the machine and be
visible at all times.
2. Start engine and cycle engine speed to low engine
rpm.
3. Access rear platform and securely latch guardrail
chain.
4. Open air cleaner door for access to controls.
5. Cycle Propel 3-Speed control to work low.
6. Press and hold Limp Mode Enable Button (1).
7. Use Limp Mode Steering (2) and Ground Drive (3) Switches to slowly propel machine.
WARNING
Runover possible. Contact with moving parts can cut or crush.
Make sure no one is working on, underneath, or close to the machine
before starting the engine or moving the machine. Make sure the area is
free of personnel. Keep spectators away.
WARNING
Runover possible.
To avoid unexpected machine movement or component motion, start
engine only from operator’s seat with controls in neutral and Park Brake
engaged. Never short across starter terminals to start engine.
