Jump-Starting
Jump-Starting Procedure
1. Turn Ignition Switch off.
2. Turn Battery Ground Disconnect Switch off.
3. Connect jumper cables in the following order:
•Red to discharged battery positive (+) terminal.
•Red to jump booster positive (+) terminal.
•Black to jump booster negative (-) terminal.
•Black to engine block with discharged battery.
Make connection away from battery, fuel lines, and
moving parts. Do not attach to the negative
terminal of the discharged battery.
•To avoid sparks near the battery, always disconnect
black jumper cable from the engine block before
adjusting red jumper cable.
4. Turn Battery Ground Disconnect Switch on.
5. Start engine from operator’s station.
6. Remove cables in reverse order and install red cover over positive battery cable clamp.
