Westerbeke Universal M-50 - Removing O-Ring; Removing Tappets

REMOVING O-RING
1. Remove the O-ring from the periphery of the oil pipe on the crankcase.

REMOVING TAPPETS
1. Remove the six tappets from the crankcase.
NOTE FOR REASSEMBLING: Visually check the contact between tappets and cams for proper
rotation.
If a defect is found, replace tappets. Before installing the tappets, apply engine oil thinly
around them.
