2. Defective Servo Oil Pump
2.1 Identification
The flow sensors FS2061A − FS2063A indicate that a pump is defective, i.e. an alarm
is activated in the alarm and monitoring system (Servo oil pump n. flow).
2.2 Causes
D The servo oil pump has damage.
D The safety device on the pump drive has sheared (see 5591−1 Servo Pump
Unit).
D The actuators CV7221C, CV7222C and CV7223C are defective.
D There is no control current (the cable coupling is defective).
2.3 Procedures
If one servo oil pump becomes defective, the engine can operate through the full load
range.
CAUTION
Damage Hazard: Do not operate the engine with one
unserviceable servo oil pump for a long period. If the other servo
oil pump becomes defective, damage can occur and the engine
cannot operate.
1) Replace the defective servo oil pump as soon as possible (see 8016−1 Pressure
release and drain and the Maintenance Manual 5551−2 Supply Unit).
3. Defective Exhaust Valve Control Unit
3.1 Identification
D An alarm indication shows in the WECS−9520 (remote control Exh. valve late/not
opening).
D The fuel injection is cut out automatically (Inj. CUT OFF) on the related cylinder,
and a slow down signal will be released.
D The level switch LS3444A activates an alarm indication because of leakages at
the hydraulic pipes to the exhaust valves (see 8016−1 Servo oil leakage
system).
3.2 Causes
D The rail valve is defective.
D The piston or slide rod in the exhaust valve control unit cannot move.
D A hydraulic pipe to the exhaust valve is broken.
