Replacing the Fuser
This section describes procedures for replacing the fuser.
Caution on Handling the Fuser
When handling the fuser, take note of the following points:
WARNING
• Do not replace the fuser immediately after printing. The fuser gets very hot during this
process and you can get burnt.
• Always turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable from the grounded outlet
before cleaning the printer or performing maintenance. It can cause electric shock.
• Avoid bright light and try to finish the replacement within 5 minutes.
Replacing the Fuser
Important
• Wait 30 minutes after turning off the printer before replacing the fuser.
1. Turn off the printer and wait for 30 minutes.
2. Remove any paper in the output tray.
3. Push the button and open the front cover.
4. Hold the knob of the chute gate and open it.
5. Release the levers at both ends of the
fuser.
