THROTTLE CABLE FREEPLAY ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
• Before adjusting the throttle cable freeplay, the
engine idle speed should be adjusted.
• Adjust the throttle cable freeplay while the
cable is in the cable guide.
1. Measure:
• Throttle cable freeplay a
Out of specification → Adjust.
Throttle cable freeplay a:
1.0 ~ 2.0 mm (0.04 ~ 0.08 in)
2. Adjust:
• Throttle cable freeplay
Adjustment steps:
• Loosen the locknut 1.
• Turn the adjusting nut 2 in or out until the
specified freeplay is obtained.
Turning in → Freeplay is increased.
Turning out → Freeplay is decreased.
• Tighten the locknut.
NOTE:
After adjusting the freeplay, turn the handlebar to
right and left, and make sure that the engine idling
does not run faster.
