Light Source Screen
Laser on indication
Turns the optical output on and off
When you tap the ON button, the measurement light turns on. The button changes to OFF, and a
mark appears on the instrument display to indicate that the light is on. When you tap the OFF button,
the measurement light turns off.
Set the wavelength
(1310nm, 1550nm).
Set the modulation mode
(CW, 270Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz).

• Check the wavelength and modulation mode settings before turning on the light source.
• This section explains the utility Light Source menu. You can also control the light source feature from the
utility Power Meter menu. For details on the light source feature of the Power Meter menu, see page 7-11.
