Question 2 - Beep Tone Frequency
The encoder expects a 5-digit response to this question (02500 to 32767). This entry sets the
tone frequency used to generate the beep alert tones. It has no affect on any of the other alert
tones, but some entry must be made for this question in order to continue through the format
question loop.
The frequency range available is from 250.0 Hz to 3276.7 Hz. The entry must always be five
digits in length and no decimal points are used. Several examples of the entries made to
generate specific tones follow:
Entry Generates Tone
02500 250.0 Hz
03305 330.5 Hz
28050 2805.0 Hz
Question 3 - Beep ON Time
The encoder expects a 3-digit response to this question (000 to 999). This entry sets the tone
duration used to generate the beep alert tones. It has no affect on any of the other alert tones,
but some entry must be made for this question in order to continue through the format
question loop.
The range for this setting is 0.00 to 9.99 seconds in 0.01 second increments. To enter a time
of 0.50 seconds, you would key in “050”.
Question 4 - Beep OFF Time
The encoder expects a 3-digit response to this question (000 to 999). This entry sets the gap
time between the tones used to generate the beep alert. It has no affect on any of the other
alert tones, but some entry must be made for this question in order to continue through the
format question loop.
The range for this setting is 0.00 to 9.99 seconds in 0.01 second increments. To enter a time
of 0.10 seconds, you would key in “010”.
