Motorola (2+2) Quick Call 1
Question 1 - Channel Select Relays
This question works the same way for most paging formats. Please see “Question 1 - Channel
Select Relays” on page 72 for a description.
Question 2 - Tone Group Selection
“Question 2” allows you to select one of the standard Quick Call I tone groups “A”, “B”, or
“Z” to be used for this leading digit. If more than one tone group is required, then more than
one leading digit must be used, one for each tone group.
The encoder is looking for a single digit entry (0 to 2). The valid responses are:
0 = A series
1 = B series
2 = Z series
Question 3 - First Tone Duration
The duration of the first tone will require a 3-digit entry (000 to 999). The increment used is
0.01 seconds, so a decimal point in the entry is not required. Any value between 0.00 and
9.99 seconds may be used. 1.25 seconds (enter 125) is standard for Quick Call I.
Question 4 - Gap Duration
The gap duration is the time between the first and second tones. This time is normally 0.00
seconds.
