The encoder requires a 3-digit response (000 to 999). The range is from 0 to 9.99 seconds in
0.01 second increments. No decimal point is required for the entry.
At the following prompt, enter the duration for the gap between tones. The encoder requires a
3-digit response (000 to 999). The range is from zero to 9.99 seconds in 0.01 second
increments.
GAP DURATION (X 10 MS)
P01;101>000
The following prompt sets the tone frequency of the second tone in the custom call. The
encoder requires a 5-digit response to this question (02500 to 32767, or 00000). The range is
250.0 Hz to 3276.7 Hz in increments of 0.1 Hz. Entering all zeros generates no tone.
SECOND TONE FREQUENCY (X 0.1 HZ)
P01;101>06500
At the following prompt, enter the duration for the second tone of the custom call. The
encoder requires a 3-digit response (000 to 999). The range is from zero to 9.99 seconds in
0.01 second increments. No decimal point is required for the entry.
SECOND TONE DURATION (X 10 MS)
P01;101>100
At the following prompt, select an alert tone to follow the custom call. This is a single digit
entry (0 to 3). Table 26 lists the alert tones available. The alert tone selected will be
transmitted each time the custom call is made, whether called manually or from an instant
call button.
SELECT ALERT (0-3, 0=NONE)
P01;101>0
When you make your entry for the last question, the encoder automatically saves the new
settings and returns to the top of the question loop for custom calls programming. At that
point you may either select “CHANGE SETTINGS” again to make another pass through the
loop for another custom call or simply press ENTER/RETURN on the PC keyboard to return
to the idle state.
INSTANT CALL BUTTON SETUP
Enter a “C” at the top menu prompt in order to open the submenu for assigning pages to
instant call buttons in the encoder. The opening menu for instant call programming will look
like the following.
