10.3. Starting Problems
The device is not running, the display is dark and there is no acoustic signal.
¾ Check that the device is connected to the power source
¾ Check the power cable
¾ Turn on the power switch
¾ Check the mains fuses. To do this, unplug the power cable.
¾ The mains fuses are located behind the coverage on the power inlet. Loosen the upper fastening of the fuse
holder and remove the fuse holder. Inspect the fuses and replace the fuses with fuses of the same type and
rating, if necessary.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact customer service.
The device is running, the acoustic signal after switching on the device was there but the display does not run.
¾ Check the display serial cable. Therefore open the cover and check, if the display cable is correctly attached.
¾ After reattached the cable, close the cover and connect the power inlet cable and start the device.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact customer service.
The device is running, the acoustic signal after switching on the device was there but the display has only
bright background or the brightness is too low(dark background on the display).
¾ In case of a bright background on the display, check the display cable. Therefore open the rear part of
housing (chap.8.3.1.1) and check, if the display cable is correctly attached.
¾ After reattached the cable, mount the rear part of housing and connect the power cable and switch on the
device.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact the Service department of Zimmer MedizinSysteme.
¾ In case of a dark background on the display, check the backlight cable. Therefore open the rear part of
housing (chap.8.3.1.1) and check, if the backlight cable is correctly attached.
¾ After reattached the cable, mount the rear part of housing and connect the power cable and switch on the
device.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact the Service department of Zimmer MedizinSysteme.
The device is running, the acoustic signal after switching on the device was there, the start window is displayed
but there is no reaction to the touch of the screen.
¾ Check the touch cable. Therefore open the rear part of housing and check, if the touch cable is correctly
attached.
¾ After reattached the cable, mount the rear part of housing and connect the power cable and switch on the
device.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact the Service department of Zimmer MedizinSysteme.
There is no acoustic signal even if an error message is displayed.
¾ Unplug the power cable from the power inlet.
¾ Opening the rear part of housing.
¾ Check if the speaker cable is attached to the main board.
¾ Reattach the cable and close the cover.
¾ If the above measures are not successful, please contact the Service department of Zimmer MedizinSysteme.
The message “Water container full” is displayed.
¾ Any running therapy can be completed after the message is closed by clicking on it. The message indicates
that the water separator tank of the suction wave module must be drained. To drain the water please put the
silicone tube of the outlet of the water separator into a container and turn on the valve placed at the bottom of
the VacoP device and let the contents of the water separator be drained. Please turn off of the valve after the
water has been drained.
