You can now use the WPS feature to establish a WiFi connection between your notebook or other
devices and the NR2301 (see Section 3.2.2 on page 28).
3.2.2 Connecting to the NR2301’s WiFi Network Using WPS
This section shows you how to connect a WiFi device to the NR2301’s WiFi network using WPS. WPS (WiFi
Protected Setup) is a security standard that allows devices to connect to a router securely without you
having to enter a password. There are two methods:
• PBC (Push Button Configuration) – Connect to the WiFi network by pressing a button. See Section
3.2.2.1 on page 29. This is the simplest method.
• PIN – Connect to the WiFi network by entering a PIN (Personal Identification Number) from a WiFi-
enabled device in the NR2301’s Web Configurator. See Section 3.2.2.2 on page 31. This is the more
secure method, because one device can authenticate the other.
