8.3  DMZ Public IP Address Example
The following figure shows a simple network setup with public IP addresses on the WAN and 
DMZ and private IP addresses on the LAN. Lower case letters represent public IP addresses 
(like a.b.c.d for example). The LAN port and connected computers (A through C) use private 
IP addresses that are in one subnet. The DMZ port and connected servers (D through F) use 
public IP addresses that are in another subnet. The public IP addresses of the DMZ and WAN 
ports are in separate subnets.

Multicast IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) is a network-layer protocol used to 
establish membership in a multicast group. The ZyXEL Device supports both 
IGMP version 1 (IGMP-v1) and IGMP-v2. Select None to disable it.
Windows Networking (NetBIOS over TCP/IP)
Allow between 
DMZ and LAN
Select this check box to forward NetBIOS packets from the LAN to the DMZ and 
from the DMZ to the LAN. If your firewall is enabled with the default policy set to 
block DMZ to LAN traffic, you also need to enable the default DMZ to LAN 
firewall rule that forwards NetBIOS traffic.Clear this check box to block all 
NetBIOS packets going from the LAN to the DMZ and from the DMZ to the LAN.
Allow between 
DMZ and WAN
Select this check box to forward NetBIOS packets from the WAN to the DMZ and 
from the DMZ to the WAN. Clear this check box to block all NetBIOS packets 
going from the WAN to the DMZ and from the DMZ to the WAN.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes back to the ZyXEL Device.
Cancel Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
