36.3 Internet Access
I cannot access the I nter net.
1 Check t he hardware connect ions, and m ake sure t he LEDs are behaving as expect ed. See t he
Qu ick Sta rt Gu ide and Sect ion 1.5 on page 20.
2 Make sure you entered your I SP account inform at ion correctly in t he N e t w ork Sett ing >
Broadband screen. These fields are case- sensit ive, so m ake sure [ Caps Lock] is not on.
3 I f you are t rying to access the I nternet wir elessly, m ake sure t hat you enabled t he wireless LAN in
the Device and your wireless client and t hat t he wireless settings in the wireless client are the sam e
as the sett ings in the Device.
4 Disconnect all t he cables from your device and reconnect t hem .
5 I f t he problem continues, contact your I SP.
I cannot access the I nter net t hrough a DSL connection.
1 Make sur e you have the DSL W AN por t connected t o a telephone j ack (or t he DSL or m odem j ack
on a split t er if you have one).
2 Make sure you configured a proper DSL WAN int erface (N e t w or k Set t ing > Broa dband screen)
wit h the I nt ernet account inform at ion provided by your I SP and t hat it is enabled.
3 Check that the LAN interface you are connected to is in the sam e int erface group as the DSL
connection (N e t w or k Se t t ing > I nt e rfa ce Group) .
4 I f you set up a WAN connection using br idging service, m ake sure you turn off the DHCP feature in
the LAN screen t o have t he client s get WAN I P addresses directly from your I SP’s DHCP server.
I cannot connect t o the I nternet using a second DSL connection.
ADSL and VDSL connections cannot work at the sam e t im e. You can only use one type of DSL
connection, eit her ADSL or VDSL connection at one tim e.
I cannot access the I nt ernet anym ore. I had access t o t he I nt ernet (wit h the Device) , but m y
I nternet connect ion is not available anym ore.
1 Your session wit h t he Device m ay have expired. Try logging into the Device again.
