15 Messages
When you have new messages waiting, the message icon appears in
the display, and the indicator on the messages key flashes.
If you receive a message during a call, you are notified with a beep. The
messages key indicator keeps flashing until you press the key.
15.1 Voice Mail
A voice mail application allows you to record an absence message that
callers will hear when you are unable to answer their calls. The callers
can then leave messages in your mailbox.
Contact the system administrator for more information about the voice
mail application and the mailbox configuration.
Note: If you use the personal number feature, you are recommended to
program voice mail as the last answering position for all search
profiles. See 10.3 Personal Number and Profiles on page 66 for
more information.
15.1.1 Listening to VoiceMail Messages
Note: To be able to listen to voicemail messages, you have to program
the voice mail number. See 15.1.3 Programming VoiceMail and
My Messages Numbers on page 91.
To check and listen to received voice mails, do the following:
1. Press and hold 1.
2. Follow the recorded instructions.
OR
1. Press .
2. Select My VoiceMail, and press Call.
3. Follow the recorded instructions.
Note: The phone can be cpnfigured so that you can directly call the
voicemail system by pressing without having to also select
My VoiceMail (step 2).
