4.8.1 Replacing the axis-1 gearbox
Location of the axis-1 gearbox
The axis-1 gearbox is located as shown in the figure.

Summary of the replacement procedure
This list is a brief summary of the replacement procedure, containing the major
actions to be performed.
1 Drain the axis-1 gearbox.
2 Remove the cabling from the base.
3 Remove the axis-1 motor.
4 Remove the complete arm system (including frame and balancing device)
as a package.
5 Replace the axis-1 gearbox.
6 Refit in reverse order.
