Required free space
Free space around the drive module is needed for ensuring that sufficient cooling air flows
through the module and the module cools correctly.
 Free space at the top of the drive module
The required free space at the top of the drive module is shown below.
 Free space around the drive module
20 mm (0.79 in.) free space around the drive module is required from the cabinet back
panel and front door. No free space for cooling is required on the left- and right-hand sides
of the module.
The module can be installed in a cabinet with the following dimensions:
• width 500 mm (19.68 in.)
• depth 600 mm (23.62 in.)
• height 2000 mm (78.74 in.).

 Drive module on its back
If you install the drive module on its back, make sure that the hot cooling air that flows
upwards from the module does not cause danger.
