Notice
From a physical address a ABB-Welcome IP participant generates itself an own
IP address (IPv4) in the IP address range 10.x.x.x / 255.x.x.x
A physical address is specific in a ABB-Welcome IP system and must not be
assigned twice within a device category.
For example:
An outdoor station and an IP actuator can have the same physical address.
Two outdoor stations can not have the same physical address.
The "Smart Access Point" always has the IPv4 address 10.0.0.1 and
communicates with it with the ABB-Welcome IP participants.
In parallel the "Smart Access Point" can have an additional IP address.
Case 1: The "Smart Access Point" receives an IP address assigned from a
local DHCP server/router.
Case 2: The "Smart Access Point" receives a static IP address that is
manually assigned.
Physical addresses of the IP cameras
For IP cameras the following addresses are assigned in the functional network:
10.0.3.1 … 10.0.3.254
In this address range also other devices, such as a computer, can use the 10-type addresses
without coming into conflict with the ABB-Welcome IP address range.
Notice
Commercially available IP cameras with the profile "ONVIF Profile S" and the
video coding format "H.264" can be integrated in the ABB-Welcome IP system.
