Atm Pressure enter the ambient barometric pressure in hPa
Barometric pressure value is important in smoke point measurement because the flame height depends
on the pressure. Appropriate correction for the standard flame height at normal pressure of 101.3 kPa is
taken into account by the correction factor.
The barometric pressure value at the test initiation is required in order to find in the SP 10 calibration
database the appropriate lamp correction factor corresponding to the barometric pressure at the time of
the test.
If the SP 10 calibration database doesn’t yet contain reference fuel test data at the current ambient
pressure, the SP 10 will find the best fit and prompt the operator.
When all test information is entered, check that the instrument is ready for test the status should be
“Ready”.
Place the prepared candle on the conveyor and press the START” button to initiate the measurement.
