RESULT SCREEN
At the end of test, the following test report is displayed:
Test details
Date: Date of the smoke point measurement test
Operator: Name of the operator who performed the test
Sample ID: Identification of the jet fuel sample
Atm Pressure – ambient barometric pressure entered at the test start
Comment: any comment about the test entered by the operator
Test result
Smoke point: the test result.
It is the mean value of 3 consecutive observations of the height of flame type “B”, rounded to the nearest
0.1 mm, corrected with the lamp factor and rounded to nearest 0.1 mm
Lower and Upper Limits are filled in case of Verification Sample test. Limits are associated with
verification sample name and they are set in the menu Lists Settings.
Additional result information
The instrument serial number and software version are displayed.
Values of 3 consecutive automatic readings of smoke point (height of flame type “B” non-corrected BY
THE LAMP FACTOR) are labeled R1, R2 and R3.
Result status is bit-coded.
If all bits are equal to zero, there is no additional information (or events) to be reported.
Bit 1 triggers to 1 if one of 3 consecutive automatic measurements of smoke point is out of the tolerance
(1 mm) defined in the test method
Bit 2 triggers to 1 if the result obtained with a verification sample is out of defined limits
Bit 3 triggers to 1 if the difference between the barometric pressure entered at the beginning of the test
and the barometric pressure at calibration differs by more than the limit defined in the standard (0,7 kPa).
