MESSAGES DURING OPERATION
The SP 10 is ready for test
Test progress – Candle loading
The candle conveyor is moving up
The igniter lights the candle
Test progress – Preheating XXX sec
The flame is automatically adjusted and maintained at 10mm
for 5 minutes. The remaining time is displayed.
Test progress – Measurement
Smoke point detection phase: 3 consecutive readings of the
flame height corresponding to the B flame shape
Test progress – Candle unloading
The measurement is completed, the candle conveyor moves
down
Result on reference blend is within 2 mm of the reference value
Calibration is not accepted
Result on reference blend is too much different from expected
reference value of this blend (greater than 2 mm)
Different checks to be carried
The candle was moved to the test position, but the wick was
not detected
No flame, the flame is extinguished.
The calibration database is empty
Other messages
In order to assure high quality of the results and safe operation, the SP 10 permanently monitor proper
operation of system components. If any malfunction is detected a system message will inform the
operator.
All messages are self-explaining and provide all necessary instruction to be followed.
