Mixing paddles
The mixing paddles fit into the entry of the spray chamber. They remove the larger
aerosol droplets which can cause photometric noise and burner blockage.
The front of the mixing paddles has a boss at the center of the blades.

Three of the blades at the back of the mixing paddles have small retaining lugs on
their edges. These lugs hold the paddles in position within the spray chamber.

When installing the mixing paddles, the front end of the paddle is inserted into the
front of the spray chamberthe end further away from the nebulizer.
Pressure relief bung
A pressure relief bung is located at the rear of the spray chamber. In the event of a
flashback occurring, this bung is ejected to relieve excess pressure. For safety, the
bung points away from the operator.
The burner/spray chamber system incorporates an interlock design with two
functions:
Prevent ignition if the pressure relief bung is not correctly fitted.
Shut down the flame if the bung is ejected because of a flashback.
