Agilent Jet Stream (AJS) source
The Agilent Jet Stream (AJS) source uses the same ionization technique as the
Electrospray source.
The AJS source uses Thermal Gradient Focusing Technology, which is a process
in which super-heated nitrogen (N
2
) is used to improve ion generation and
desolvation.
AJS source improves sensitivity 5x or more for many small- molecule
compounds that undergo electrospray ionization.
