Nebulizer
The following procedures describe routine maintenance for the nebulizer.
Flushing the nebulizer
Check the nebulizer weekly. If needed, flush traces of samples and buffers out of
the tubing, valves, and nebulizer.
Parts needed:
• LC/MS-grade methanol
To flush the nebulizer,
1 Install a mix of 30% to 70% methanol in water.
On a monthly basis, prepare enough mix to flush overnight.
2 On a daily basis, flush for 3 minutes.
On a monthly basis, flush overnight.
